Washington Grove United Methodist Church

AN INVITATION

 Please take a few minutes to learn more about our ministry.

We are members of the United Methodist Church (UMC).  Its mission is to prepare disciples of Jesus Christ by proclaiming the good news of God's Grace.  We share the long UMC tradition of service to the community and the world, since loving God and loving others are two sides of the same coin, as Jesus taught.

You are welcome here.   If you are seeking to know God and explore the meaning of faith in Jesus, come and worship with us!  Our focus is on Loving God, in service to the Washington Grove and the world.  In addition to our weekly blended traditional/contemporary Christian worship, we serve our community by hosting interfaith activities.  These include a bi-weekly play group, an Interfaith Thanksgiving service, and a variety of special events and presentations during the school year.  Like the town of Washington Grove, our church has a special concern and focus on environmental ethics in this time of global warming.  We believe that all people of conscience today are called to join in rolling back years of ecological damage to God’s Creation.

Your participation is always welcome:

• At worship with us on Sunday morning.
• In a Sunday School or Bible Study class.
• In our monthly Membership Classes.
• Become a member and support the church with your Prayers, Presence, Gifts and Service.

Our church welcomed our newest members on Sunday, March 8 during the service and a light reception afterwards. 

The members are:  Sylvie Favret, Rick & Lori Green, Rob Gilmore and Emily Cavey, Sophia, Bella, Julian & Eli Gilmore,      Kathi Ives and Pat Tepper.
